Meta Trak’s leading edge tracking solutions give you ultimate peace of mind. Insurance approved and meeting the very latest Thatcham standard, ‘Category S5’, which replaces Thatcham Categories 5,6 and 7. As well as simplifying security requirements, the new standard addresses new methods of theft, such as key cloning and relay attack. Key cloning is when a thief programmes a new key in to the vehicle with a laptop plugged into the vehicle’s electronics, while in a relay attack a thief intercepts or jams the door remote control signal so they can access the vehicle. The S5-VTS system uses an I.D Tag. If a vehicle is driven without a Tag present an alert is sent to the Secure Operating Centre within seconds.
